Yes, if you would like the ride tracking to work. Your phone will prompt you to enable background access. You can choose to enable background access all the time, or just while using the app. If you are only allowing background access while using the app, you will need to remember to open the app before your bike will connect with it. If you deny background access, then range calculation and ride tracking will not work properly.

For a fully functional application, we highly recommend you to follow both methods mentioned below.

- Open “Settings”
- Select “Battery”
- Turn off the Power Saving modes
- Tap “App launch”
- Look for “Navie” and turn off the toggle switch
- This will open up a menu with further options: make sure that the “Run in background” option is turned on
2. Battery optimisation
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Apps”
- Tap “Apps” again
- Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner
- Tap “Special access”
- Tap “Battery Optimisation”
- Tap “Allowed” and select “All apps/Not allowed”
- Select the Navie App
- Tap “Allow”

- Select “Restricted apps” and click on the checkbox
- Remove the restriction by tapping on the “Remove” button
